Effective Science-based Solutions to Land Use Challenges

The Land Policy Program is a major programmatic initiative of Michigan State University (MSU). It provides leadership and coordination for land use and land policy activities at MSU and promotes collaboration with other institutions in addressing land use and land policy problems. The Land Policy Program brings to bear the vast array of expertise at MSU and in higher education in Michigan on priority problems of land use decision makers. The program's mission is to provide effective science based solutions and educational/outreach programs to support various state, national and international stakeholders in the areas of land use. The program will promote the sustainable development of Michigan's land resources through the simultaneous consideration of economic, social, environmental and equity issues.
