Rebecca Finneran has been the Kent/MSU Extension Horticulture Educator since 1987. She obtained a bachelor of science in Landscape Horticulture from Michigan State University and has experience working in the landscape-nursery area and fruit. Rebecca is an avid gardener and has been writing a weekly column for the Grand Rapids Press since 1999.  She oversees the administration of the ever-growing MSU Extension Master Gardener program in Kent County and frequently lectures to commercial horticulture and consumer audiences. She appears often on WOOD-TV 8, WOTV-4 and WGVU TV-35 discussing her favorite topic--plants.
