Dian served as the Allegan County 4-H Program Assistant from 1984 thru 2011. In her new position as 4-H Program Coordinator Dian will work with the various Allegan County 4-H county wide committees as well as coordinate the organization and promotion of the local 4-H program.

 In 2006 Dian received the National Distinguished Service Award at the National Association of Extension 4-H Agents Conference in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
