Mary is one of two managers of the National Initiative to Internationalize Extension Project with CSREES-USDA. Diane Ruonavaara of MSUE is also co-coordinating the project. The National Initiative is in the third year of a three year project. A National Conference is being planned for January 18-20, 2005 in Orlando Florida. Mary has been Director of International Extension Programs in MSUE. She has just formally retired but is still active in responding to inquiries until a new Director is assigned. One of the key functions of this office is to support the international and global involvements and competency development of Extension staff.
