Who are we?

Michigan State University Extension..

...bringing knowledge to life.

Welcome to the MSU Extension Specialists and State Staff Association site. Our association is open to anyone serving in an Extension capacity with more than a 10% Extension appointment. This includes Extension associates and academic specialists with Extension related appointments. MESSSA membership benefits include periodic meetings with and briefings by Extension administration, educational programs on Extension related issues, access to travel and professional development funds, and an awards system to acknowledge professional excellence in extension. Most important, it provides a venue for regular interaction with other Extension staff and personnel both on and off campus.
