Too Much To Do... Too Little Time
Time management is not solved through a "quick fix" solution, but instead develops through small changes. This website from Ohio State University Extension presents a number of strategies for helping the extension educator gain more control over his/her time.
Building Dynamic Groups
The "Building Dynamic Groups" website, developed by Barbara Brahm, Beth Flynn, and Nancy Stehulak of Ohio State University Extension, has many activities that can easily be used with groups. Included are all materials needed to build communication, teamwork, vision, collaboration, as well as boundary breakers to "break the ice" with a new group, or energize an existing group.

Guidelines for Teleconferences
Many of us work in teams whose members are separated by distance. Working effectively and productively as a virtual team is possible, but it takes careful planning, organization, the right technology, and practice to overcome the obvious impediments to communication, motivation, decision making, and accomplishment. These guidelines focus on four key tasks: creating structure; building a sense of community; maximizing interaction; and minimizing groupthink.

Furthermore, this study is unique in that it also looks at how the non traveling spouses and other family members are affected by the rhythms of regular work travel. Dr. Zvonkovic discusses her research on the impact of work travel on an individual's health, well-being, and family relationships.
