                                            4-H Camp Molinare Youth Camp

Dickinson County 4-H is pleased to offer annual youth overnight camping experiences at Camp Molinare, Sawyer Lake.  Since the camp's beginning in 1946, local youth have been enjoying the scenic backdrop of Sawyer Lake along with canoeing and swimming opportunities.

Camp Molinare offers a chance for every camper to make new friends, experience new activities, and learn new skills.  Activities may  include any of the following:  outdoor field sport recreation, water and land challenges, arts and crafts sessions, nature walks, shooting sports, astronomy, campfires, singing, drama and skits, guest speakers, and much more.

Camp staff include the 4-H Extension Educator as camp director, camp nurse, camp cooks, lifeguard, craft and recreation leaders, and camp counselors who complete mandatory counselor training and orientations.    We are always looking for interested volunteers, i.e. parents, community members, family members, etc. who are willing to lend a hand.  Please contact the MSUE office at Dickinson County, 774-0363 to become involved.

Chaperoned busing to and from the camp is offered and departs from the Crystal Lake Community Center at 800 Crystal Lake Blvd, Iron Mountain, MI.

Camp Rental

Camp Molinare is also available for rental by other youth organizations, schools, church groups, etc.  Rental prices are based upon the number of campers and the cost per meal.  With this option, Camp Molinare provides cooks, camp caretaker, food, utilities, and supplies.  Please contact the MSUE office of Dickinson County for more information.
