SUBJECT: REPORTING: EXTENSION INFORMATION SYSTEM (EIS)
 
POLICY: EIS reports are to be submitted in a timely manner.
 
APPLIES TO: All MSUE academic staff members subject to EIS.
 
PROVISIONS/RESTRICTIONS:
 
  1. Timely reporting is necessary for purposes of accurate performance assessment/improvement and accountability.

  2. EIS reports are due to the Regional Director by the 15th of the month following the end of the calendar quarter.

  3. The calendar quarter concludes at the end of June, September, December, and March.

  4. EIS reports are due to the Regional Director by July 15 for the April-June quarter, October 15 for the July-September quarter, January 15 for the October-December quarter, and April 15 for the January-March quarter.

  5. Academic staff members who fail to submit a complete set of reports in a timely fashion during a performance year will have this noted as a warning in the EDS Feedback Summary.

  6. Academic staff members who fail to submit a complete set of reports in a timely fashion in any additional performance year will receive a "Failed to Meet Performance Expectations" as the EDS rating.
 
PROCEDURES:
 
  1. Depending on local practice, EIS reports may have to be sent to the County Director prior to submission to the Regional Director.

  2. It is the prerogative of the Regional Director to have staff members report more frequently than every quarter.
