SUBJECT: ADDITIONAL WORK FOR PAY
 
POLICY: MSUE staff member may engage in Additional Work for Pay (defined as teaching a college level course for credit).
 
APPLIES TO: MSUE Provost-Appointed Staff
 
PROVISIONS/RESTRICTIONS:
 

  1. The teaching activity is funded by a source(s) outside of MSU Extension

  2. The teaching activity is not part of the staff member’s regular work assignment and work schedule.

  3. The teaching activity does not interfere in any way with the conduct of Extension work.

  4. The teaching activity does not present a conflict of interest.

  5. Although Additional Work is not considered consulting, the staff member must request advanced approval for Additional Work using the ‘Outside Work For Pay’ process and form. (See Consulting for Pay Policy)
