SUBJECT: CRIMINAL HISTORY CHECK
 
POLICY: Newly hired employees are subject to a Criminal History Check.
 
APPLIES TO: MSUE provost-appointed academic and non-academic staff and all university employees assigned to work for MSU Extension.
 
PROVISIONS/RESTRICTIONS:
 
  1. Employment offers are contingent upon satisfactorily passing a Criminal History Check.

  2. Employees not satisfactorily passing a Criminal History Check will be terminated immediately.
 
PROCEDURES:
 
  1. The supervisor submits a Criminal History Check Request Form to ANR Human Resources Office.

  2. The Criminal History Check is conducted by Michigan State Police.
