| POLICY: |
MSU provides MSUE employees with a complete set
of benefits; additionally MSUE employees under federal appointment are
eligible for a federal life insurance program and a federal retirement
program (Civil Service Retirement System) |

| APPLIES TO: |
MSU benefits - all MSUE employees with at least a
nine month appointment at 50% time; federal benefits - MSUE academic
employees under federal appointment. |

| PROVISIONS/RESTRICTIONS: |
| |
- Information regarding eligibility for and content of MSU
benefits is available from the MSU Benefits Office (located at
www.hr.msu.edu/Depts/Benefits/default.htm).
- Information regarding federal benefits is available from
the ANR Human Resources Office.
- Only MSUE academic employees eligible to participate in the
Civil Service Retirement System are eligible for a federal appointment.

days of employment or during an open enrollment period.
